What the plugin storesConversion goals explained
What counts as a conversion, and how to pick.
Short answer
A conversion is the one action each test counts: a page visit matched on the path, an element click, a link click, a form submission from the supported form plugins or a plain HTML form, or a WooCommerce add-to-cart. Pro adds scroll depth, time on page, engaged time and WooCommerce purchase with revenue. Each visitor counts once per test.
Free goals
Free goals: a page visit (a thank-you or order-confirmation page, matched on the path only, exact or "contains", never the query string), an element click (any element you select), a link click (a specific link URL), a form submission (Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable, Forminator or a plain HTML form), or a WooCommerce add-to-cart. Click goals are sent before the browser navigates away, so a click that leaves the page still counts.
Pro goals
Pro adds scroll depth, time on page, active (engaged) time, and WooCommerce purchase with revenue: the purchase goal fires on the order-received page and records the order total.
One goal per test, one count per visitor
One goal per test. Each visitor counts once, one impression and one conversion, so repeat clicks do not inflate results. Changing the goal on a live test requires explicit confirmation so data is never silently mixed. Pick the goal closest to the money: a demo booked beats a button hovered.
