Activation sends the key and your site's root domain to Dodo Payments' licence API, where the domain is only the label on that activation; each WordPress install you activate uses one activation. Pro updates appear in the normal WordPress Updates screen, checked at most every six hours. A licence is annual and includes updates and email support.

Activating a licence

Enter your licence key under the plugin's licence screen. Activation sends the key and your site's root domain to Dodo Payments' licence API; the daily re-check and deactivation send the key and the activation id. Every WordPress install that activates the key uses one activation, including a staging or www copy of the same site: the root domain is sent only as the label that names the activation in your list. To move a licence, deactivate it on the old site and activate on the new one.

How updates arrive

Pro updates appear in your normal WordPress Updates screen and install with one click while your licence is active. A successful check is cached for six hours, and retried every 30 minutes while the update server is unreachable. Each check sends the plugin slug and the installed Pro version, your licence key, activation id, root domain, an anonymous site id and your PHP and WordPress versions. The free plugin updates from wordpress.org as usual and never contacts abtestwp.com.

Renewal and lapse

A licence is annual and includes updates and email support. If it lapses, Pro features stop as soon as the licence check fails: existing tests keep their weights, targeting, styling and variants, running tests keep running, but new Pro-only settings can no longer be saved and the analysis reverts to Free until you renew.

Yes. Deactivate it on the old site and activate it on the new one. Each install you activate uses one activation, so deactivate a staging copy when you are done with it.
