Uninstall & your data

What happens to tests and results when the plugin goes.

Short answer

By default uninstalling keeps your tests and results in your database, so a delete-and-reinstall loses nothing. Turn on the clean-delete setting before uninstalling to remove the tables and options. Once a test is stopped, its raw rows older than the retention window, 90 days by default, are rolled up into daily totals; running tests keep every raw row.

What uninstalling keeps

By default, uninstalling keeps your tests and results in your database, so an accidental delete-and-reinstall loses nothing. Once a test is stopped, its raw impression and conversion rows older than the retention window (90 days by default, adjustable) are rolled up into daily totals and deleted. Running tests keep every raw row, so a late conversion is never lost.

Clean delete

If you want everything gone, turn on the clean-delete setting in the plugin's settings before uninstalling; tables and options are then removed.

Nothing lives elsewhere

Either way, nothing ever lived anywhere but your own database: there is no external account to close and no third-party copy of your results.

Common questions

Is any of my data stored outside my site?

No. Results live only in your own database. There is no external account to close and no third-party copy.

Can I change the retention window?

Yes. The default is 90 days and it is adjustable. Once a test is stopped, its raw rows older than that are rolled up into daily totals per variant and deleted; running tests keep every row.

How do I remove everything?

Turn on the clean-delete setting in the plugin's settings before uninstalling. Tables and options are then removed.
